Doing #running #HIIT workouts are so much easier than plodding along on the treadmill. When you’re running at your own high-intensity and low-intensity paces you don’t have to worry about struggling to change the speed on a machine and almost killing yourself. 😂 ———————————————— I’ve been doing my own #tabata style running workouts. It’s 2:30 mins of warm-up jogging. Then a 20 second sprint, followed by a 10 second recovery jog. I repeat the low and high-intensity intervals for 10 mins until I do a cool down jog for 2:30 mins to complete the workout! Just 15 mins and you’re done! Let me know if you’re going to this workout a try. I can give you some tips and pointers. 😊 ———————————————— This is a dinner I made awhile back. It’s basically Cajun chicken sausage, brown rice, spinach, tomatoes. I seasoned with cayenne, pepper, garlic, and oregano, I believe. It was delicious! It also makes a good mealprep. This week I challenge you all to do a little technology detox. 😱 You can discern what form that takes or how far you want to go with it. In the time that you’re off your technology really think about what truly makes you happy and gives you purpose in life. 🤔 ———————————————— I’m doing this this week because I felt a little disconnected from what living really means to me. I started chasing numbers on scales and fitbits again for no apparent reason. I started making schedules so structured that I forgot why I was even doing what I was doing. 🤷🏽‍♀️ This week I’m going to do whatever I want when I want just to see where I fall now naturally. 😜 ———————————————— At the end of the day, that’s who I am that’s who I really want to be. Nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes or do things we wish we hadn’t done. That’s life. 🤷🏽‍♀️ What’s most important is learning from that experience and applying that lesson. Sometimes, though, that lesson gets applied in a piecemeal fashion and you’re left with the sense that you’re still messing up. 😭 That’s life too! Some things are bound to be harder than others. Don’t beat yourself up for it though. That will only make things worse. 😦 ———————————————— Ask yourself, if this keeps happening, maybe it’s time I address the thoughts that have been causing it to happen rather than try to change my behaviors first? After all, thoughts create feelings which compel actions. Try starting from the top, not the bottom. 😊 ———————————————— It’s snacktime! 😉 I love English muffins with fruit and some type of spread on top. I tried this with those thin rice cakes, but I they just weren’t as filling and I just ended up treating them like crackers lol ———————————————— I combined blueberries with ginger spread this time.
